TimJM Posted November 15, 2020 Share #1 Posted November 15, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have recently purchased a used Leica V-Lux (typ 114). It functions well, but there is a continuous quiet hum whenever it is switched on. No changes to settings nor a factory reset stop this hum. Is this normal, and, if not, what could it mean? The dealer is now in lockdown, and I am unable at present to return the camera.
Advertisement Posted November 15, 2020 Posted November 15, 2020 Hi TimJM, Take a look here V-Lux 114 - strange hum. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
wda Posted November 15, 2020 Share #2 Posted November 15, 2020 Welcome, Tim. That is strange, in my experience. If changing the battery doesn't cure the hum, I would report it to the vendor. Dealers in lockdown usually manage their online business and may be open to receive and post packages.
TimJM Posted November 16, 2020 Author Share #3 Posted November 16, 2020 Thank you. My dealer has now reopened his online service, so I shall return the item to him. Tim --
