Steven Lane Posted November 12, 2020 Share #1  Posted November 12, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi everyone, does anyone else find it a little odd that Leica have never produced a 23mm TL lens with a silver finish? Given we have silver versions of the other TL primes, I cannot think why the 23 would not be available. The APSC 23mm provides a classic focal length focal which would look superb on a silver TL2/CL body - I would love to see one made available the next time Leica's APCS system is given a refresh. NigelG Posted November 12, 2020 Share #2 Â Posted November 12, 2020 +1 I thought originally it was due to the fact that it was made in Japan whereas the 35/60 were made in Germany - but then the silver 18mm arrived so...?

jimhuffman Posted November 12, 2020 Share #4 Â Posted November 12, 2020 The original TL was introduced with the 23mm and 18-56, both in black. Â The silver lenses were introduced along with the silver CL. Â I think they just haven't wanted to go back and update the 23...
NigelG Posted November 12, 2020 Share #5  Posted November 12, 2020 The silver TL 35  + 60 we’re both released in 2016 AFAIK. The CL was released in  late 2017 in black only with the silver version not released until September 2018, (although the silver 18 was already available) but yes - annoyingly they haven’t been back to update the 23 since launch.
