S Singh Posted November 9, 2020 Share #1 Posted November 9, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi guys, just got a new Q2, immediately upgraded to 3.0. I notice that the setting on the aperture ring does not line up with what is shown on the rear display ,eg, 11 on the ring shows 14 on the display/evf. further, if I cycle from 1.7 all the way to 16, when I get to 16 I can go 2 detents more with nothing changing. Is this normal? Regards Sukhdev
Advertisement Posted November 9, 2020 Posted November 9, 2020 Hi S Singh, Take a look here Aperture setting on ring not consistent with screen/evf. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
HighlandK Posted November 9, 2020 Share #2 Posted November 9, 2020 Weird. I did wonder if exposure compensation might effect it but it doesn't. Mine is spot on accurate and there are no detents beyond f16. This sound like there is a fault because two spare detents would account for f11 showing as f14. Definitely a fault. You could try a reset but this sounds totally abnormal and not something I would want to keep in a new Q2.
Salvador Posted November 9, 2020 Share #3 Posted November 9, 2020 I'm reading Leica issues Q2 and I've seen this. I have checked my Leica Q2 and the manual lens apertures match what the EVF display shows, after upgrading to 3.
Leica Guy Posted November 9, 2020 Share #4 Posted November 9, 2020 (edited) If it were mine, I’d return it for replacement. The aperture should be spot on with the lens setting on the dial. Edited November 9, 2020 by Leica Guy

Giguchan Posted November 28, 2020 Share #7 Posted November 28, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hey Group, I performed the same test on my Q2.. It appears that mine is working as it should.. which makes me wonder..... have there been a lot of these issues? A particular Lot number? To the OP.. I am glad that your Camera is working properly and that the situation is resolved.
plantagoo Posted January 4, 2021 Share #8 Posted January 4, 2021 Just FYI. I received a Q2 brand new - sealed - a few days ago. Yesterday I realized the same error. From 1.7 up to 5.6 everything is fine. But if you click on 6.3 should come - but it jumps directly to 7.1 (right after briefly showing 6.3). That leads to 8 showing 9 etc. etc. Will be exchanged. Seems to be a somewhat "common" problem at the moment. Never had that issue on one of my previous Q/Q2s. Greetings Erik
PhotoCruiser Posted January 5, 2021 Share #9 Posted January 5, 2021 Sorry to hear that happen again! I quickly checked that and my Q2 show the right f-stop either on the screen and the EVF Chris
