Lovely landscape selection. Thanks, yes indeed, it is a monster. The real monster was on the same occasion a Canon 600mm prime with a Canon 1.4-extender. But it was only an experiment to check the Sigma MC-21 on the SL2. My brother is a birder and it was his equipment. The results are convincing, but I wouldn't carry all that stuff for hours.
