Peter Branch Posted October 23, 2020 Share #1 Posted October 23, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) I've just purchased a near mint Leica 560mm Telyt-R f/6.8, 11 865, lens as something of an indulgence. Could not walkaway from something ~50 years old, serial number 2496620, in such condition. I'm getting a Novoflex R > SL adaptor to enable it to be used on my SL. I had one of these lenses some 40 years ago and used it on Leica R cameras with Kodachrome film. It was bought second-hand in "Shows signs of use" condition and I had some fun with it, but it was not easy to use. I'm hoping this time it will be easier with an EVF and high ISO settings available but it's not clear to me how to set up an appropriate lens profile in the camera. Has anyone else sorted this out? Without knowledge of the 560mm Telyt-R, I am quite sure you don't have to be too concerned with a lens profile; corrections can be made in post-processing. Only the Leica R-to-L adapter, in combination with a ROM'ed R-lens, will give you correct EXIF data and built-in lens profile.
