Jeremy Saffer Posted October 15, 2020 Share #1 Β Posted October 15, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) Are there any studio-strobe shooters using the SL-2 system? I am having an issue with any transmitter I use, be it baja, pocket wizard, etc. - if untightened they do not fire. - if tightened, they get stuck on the SL-2 hot shoe to the point where removing them requires minor camera surgery or enough force where you truly thing you are going to break the transmitter or hot shoe, and it comes off with enough force to cut your finger open, as was my case. ouch. ive tried 6 different transmitters, all the same issue - the front locking pin gets stuck if tightened/locked in, if unlocked/on-loose, the connection isnt tight enough to get the connection to fire unless pressing down on it - hard. i know i could always use a sync cable (what at the best sync cords that work with the sl-2 btw?) but id rather not be teathered to a light as i move around my studio quite a bit while shooting, with assistants, hands on set, an extra cord to trip over is not a good time. any advice or help would be much appreciated. - Jeremy
