M10R Buffer issue

I took the M10R out for the first time tonight and everything seemed fine. I was not in burst mode or shooting fast. In fact I was taking extra time to get to know the camera. 
 

I took a shot and the red light started blinking and the image never showed up in the screen. The light continued to blink for at least :60. Nothing on the camera was responding. I powered down and the red light continued to blink. So I removed the battery and that seemed to fix it. 
 

when I got home and loaded everything in Lightroom, that one  image. Said NO PREVIEW AVAILABLE. and that the file was damaged. 
 

has anyone experienced this before? 
 

I continued to use the camera for the rest of the night with no issues. I’ve never experienced this on any Leica I’ve ever owned. I’m wondering if it was a buffer issue? I was using the new Sony Tough sd card.

Sounds like a card failure.

Try a different SD card and format it in the camera before shooting.

I’ve been told to avoid those Sony Tough cards. It was unsolicited advice and I have no clue as to the underlying why, but it’s been an issue with M10s apparently (and maybe even M240s?).

Maybe their quality control isn’t as good?  Who knows.  Never had an issue with Sandisk Extreme Pro 32GB.
