Lopaca Posted September 30, 2020 Share #1 Posted September 30, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) I shoot quite a bit with a tripod and have L brackets for all my 35 mm cameras. I am coming into a Q2 in a month or so and was wondering what anyone else uses. A search on BandH came up with this model from Manfroto: Manfrotto Q2 L Bracket Thanks in advance for any replies. Advertisement Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 Hi Lopaca, Take a look here L Bracket for Q2?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Leica28 Posted September 30, 2020 Share #2 Posted September 30, 2020 The title name is misleading. It is not made specifically for the Leica Q or Q2. It may work but I would avoid it. Very awkward in actual use. Try this one: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1464272-REG/leica_19540_handgrip_q2.html/mode/edu/mode/edu

KenBennett Posted October 1, 2020 Share #4 Posted October 1, 2020 The Leica hand grip doesn't appear to have Arca-Swiss grooves for attachment to a quick release head, but maybe I am missing them. Another option is from Really Right Stuff: https://www.reallyrightstuff.com/bq2-lpg Includes a hand grip. I don't own this one, but I have several other RRS L-plates and they are first rate.
Leica28 Posted October 1, 2020 Share #5 Posted October 1, 2020 True. The Leica l grip does not accept arca swiss connections. If that is crucial then the Manfrotto model will suffice
ianforber Posted October 1, 2020 Share #6 Posted October 1, 2020 I use a tripod a fair bit and find the arca plates built in to the Lim’s half-case are good. Not an l-bracket though, but I just flip the ballhead vertically when I want that perspective
