BradS Posted September 12, 2020 Share #1 Posted September 12, 2020 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) considering LTM to Leica M mount adapters.. Both Fotodiox and K&F Concept appear to offer decent quality product and are currently priced about the same. Is one any better than the other? If so, why? Is there another (comparably priced) brand that is superior? background: collapsible Summicron on a film M...that is, I need to be able to press the infinity lock and I don't care about the ability to add a six-bit code. edit: ooops! I meant to put this in the M lenses sub forum...oh well. Sorry. Edited September 12, 2020 by BradS
Advertisement Posted September 12, 2020 Posted September 12, 2020 Hi BradS, Take a look here LTM -> L/M adapters - Fotodiox vs K&F Concept vs ???. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
ckuwajima Posted September 13, 2020 Share #2 Posted September 13, 2020 (edited) Have no experience with those brands. I use a Rayqual adapter for my Summicron LTM Collapsible 50mm. No issues with film nor digital M bodies. I use for a Leica type I adapter for a Jupiter-12. Works perfectly on my film bodies, but it is incompatible with the 6-bit lens code reader of M10. Found these articles explaining the different generations and make of LTM adapters: https://johnnymartyr.wordpress.com/2019/10/24/leica-ltm-to-m-adapters/ https://cameraquest.com/adaptltm.htm Edited September 13, 2020 by ckuwajima
