Advertisement Posted August 18, 2007 Posted August 18, 2007 Hi andybarton, Take a look here Forest of Bowland. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
JE Posted August 18, 2007 Share #2 Posted August 18, 2007 AB, There's a very nice silence about this. Beautiful detail in the grass up front. I love this kind of sky. I suspect this would make a nice large print. JE
cocker Posted August 18, 2007 Share #3 Posted August 18, 2007 Beautiful Andy - lovely mood and composition. A relatively undiscovered bit of Lancashire and Yorkshire. Brenda owns most of it and keeps it select
stunsworth Posted August 18, 2007 Share #4 Posted August 18, 2007 Good moody shot Andy. From the weather I'm guessing this was taken on the fine summer's day today <grin>
andybarton Posted August 18, 2007 Author Share #5 Posted August 18, 2007 Cheers, guys. Yes, taken today. We went to Glasson Dock in the morning and bought a load of smoked fish from the smokery, then went over the top to Whitewell. Unfortunately, there was a wedding, otherwise we'd have stopped for lunch there. Mrs B now wants to live in Ribchester...
stunsworth Posted August 18, 2007 Share #6 Posted August 18, 2007 Hmmm, I had a pint the other week in a pub near the river in Ribchester. The Bull something like that? Nice place. If it was good enough for the Romans...

stunsworth Posted August 18, 2007 Share #9 Posted August 18, 2007 Thinking about it, given that it's a forest there only appears to be one thing missing.
dan_drabek Posted August 18, 2007 Share #10 Posted August 18, 2007 I guess you can't see the trees for the forest. :-> DD
elansprint72 Posted August 18, 2007 Share #11 Posted August 18, 2007 Nice day for a white(well) wedding. Cheers. Billy Idol. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This is a lovely place and (I think) yet again managed to wriggle out of the recent Right to Roam legislation, what about a Leica Boys mass trespass? cocker Posted August 18, 2007 Share #13 Posted August 18, 2007 The Duke of Lancaster cut them all down years before America was stumbled across... Psst - Don't tell the colonials the Duke dresses as a woman!
dan_drabek Posted August 19, 2007 Share #14 Posted August 19, 2007 The Duke of Lancaster cut them all down years before America was stumbled across... We have clear-cut forests here in the colonies too. But we usually re-plant them so we can cut them down all over again at a later date. DD
