Sohail Posted August 20, 2020 Share #1  Posted August 20, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi all, I'm pretty much a complete novice when it comes to operating a camera remotely or via a tethering set up. So I'd really appreciate some help here. After reading this topic here: I had a go at trying to set this up but as I did, it occured to me that perhaps I didn't quite understand what tethering effectively meant. I'm still not sure. Does this solution enable me to get a live view on my laptop via Lightroom? Or is it simply a means to review my images on a larger screen after pressing the shutter? If so, I was able to set up my camera to do the latter but not get a live view from my camera. This then led me to look into the Leica Fotos app which I have not yet used. I understand though that it has a live view remote function. So a question, which of two solutions would give you more options for remote shooting? Say, for instance, a self portrait or shooting from an unusual angle? Thanks in advance for any replies.
