johntobias Posted August 19, 2020 Share #1 Posted August 19, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi folks , as you may know I’m still a die-hard film user with a hasselblad , well my family have just bought me a brand new summicron 50 M for my birthday ( well pleased ) and I’m looking for recommendations as to an analog body to complement my Q2. As I see it all wide angles are covered admirably by the Q2 and digital M’s are nothing like as well specced as the Q2 in my price range ( up to around 2.5k gbp) so what should I be looking at , M2/M3 ( plus cla) M6 ? Or perhaps even an M7 ( the auto exposure appeals, the electronic shutter doesn’t! ) just counselling your thoughts cheers John

Mute-on Posted August 20, 2020 Share #2 Posted August 20, 2020 If you don’t envision using anything wider than 50mm on your M film camera, then the first choice would have to be an M3, the King of Leica M. M2 is the Queen ... for 35 and 50. Good luck!
