Hi all,

I found an old non-working Digilux 2, and remembered that a few years ago it had suddenly decided to not turn on. I've bought a new battery, plugged the DC in, to no avail.

There's obviously no way Leica can do anything about this today sadly, and by browsing this forum I've mainly ran into posts discussing the sensor issue, which was not my case it seems as it went from working perfectly fine to not turning on. The only suggestion that looked relevant was in this post:

so I was wondering a few things:

  - how can one diagnose this problem ? is there a way to assert that the fuse has indeed blown out, or to know more precisely what has failed ?

  - did anyone have similar symptoms and managed to fix it in another way ?

It might be a little over-ambitious to try to fix it myself, but well seems like the only thing left to try..

Thanks in advance for the help,

Théo

May I ask you how/where you found a battery charger? I have lost mine.

Sorry, I still have the original charger that came with the camera. I found new batteries in a local shop that specializes in selling all kinds of batteries.
