david_choy58 Posted August 17, 2007 Share #1 Â Posted August 17, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Just got my 25mm lux and tried a few pics. This lens is beautiful for its price. Solid and built like a tank (metal barrel, so much better than the 14-50mm). Wide open is great!! Â Compare with my M8+50mm lux, the DOF is not as thin but it's great anyway!!! Quite smooth bokeh and a great low light lens, especially with my E510 in-camera IS!!! But it's heavy and quite big....looks like a Noctilux rather than a Summilx.... spylaw4 Posted August 17, 2007 Share #3 Â Posted August 17, 2007 Yes, Noct is e60 and this Lux25 is e72 or e77 =) Â Actually it is e62; the 14-50 is e72. The two are virtually the same max. diameter at their widest and the 25 is 16gm heavier than the 14-50 at 566gm, but it feels heavier in the hand. MP3 Posted August 17, 2007 Share #4  Posted August 17, 2007 Hi Brian  Thanks for correcting on lens diameter.  I once surf on flickr and saw this Lux25 mounted on a e410, the combo really seems a bit overweight at the front due to the lens. Does any here got the Lux and can post up some pics to see how it balance with D3, L1 or Oly bodies?  I guess the new E-P1 may provide a better grip with this Lux. Wow, new E-P1... October.... =)
