JasonMichael Posted August 12, 2020 Share #1 Posted August 12, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, new member and I'm looking for advice to upgrade/purchase a new lens. I shoot corporate films and portrait photography (studio with some weddings) with Lumix S1H and 24-105mm currently. What would you recommend as the next step? I'm trying to decide between selling the 24-105mm and doing everything with the Leica 24-90mm (because the images are so beautiful). Or keep the 24-105mm (which has been great so far) and add either a Sigma 135mm or Panasonic S-Pro 70-200mm.
Advertisement Posted August 12, 2020 Posted August 12, 2020 Hi JasonMichael, Take a look here Leica 24-90mm vs. Panasonic 24-105mm + Longer Zoom. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
helged Posted August 12, 2020 Share #2 Posted August 12, 2020 Of the lenses you mention, the Sigma 135 differs most from the others (f1.8, shallow DOF, very sharp, high micro-contrast, convenient focal length). For me, I would pick either the 24-90 or 24-105, plus the Sigma 135. Perhaps you can test these lenses in a shop/for a short time?
JasonMichael Posted August 13, 2020 Author Share #3 Posted August 13, 2020 I have been looking around but haven't seen many rentals available. I'm wondering how well it would mount/behave on a zhiyun crane gimbal as well .
