Mikep996 Posted July 26, 2020 Share #1 Posted July 26, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) I am interested in being able to mount my M10 to a Questar 3.5" telescope but I haven't seen any clear information on how to do that. I have checked on Questar's web site and other suppliers gear but I am unsure of specifically what to purchase to mount an M to the axial fitting on the Questar. Has anyone here mounted an M to a Questar? What components did you purchase?
Advertisement Posted July 26, 2020 Posted July 26, 2020 Hi Mikep996, Take a look here Leica M adapter to mount M on a Questar telescope?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
dkCambridgeshire Posted July 26, 2020 Share #2 Posted July 26, 2020 (edited) http://astronomy.robpettengill.org/questarCameraConnect.html. can be done but might not cover full frame ... Questar axial port is 1.25" diameter ... I have read will cover APS-C format SRB might have all necessary adapters required https://www.srb-photographic.co.uk. ... and can make any adapters which are not stock items. If you contact SRB via Email and explain you want to hitch up a Leica M camera to the Questar axial port they should be able to advise ... they are familar with M camera flange distance and tube length required for the adaption. dunk Edited July 26, 2020 by dkCambridgeshire
