I have a damaged Leica R8, somewhere collecting dust.

Years ago, I was photographing in very cold weather. I opened the camera back to put a new roll of film in the camera. The shutter didn’t like that at all. The curtains of the shutter twisted before my eyes.

I asked Leica, how much the repair would cost: 800 €. At that time, one could buy a used R8 for 400 €, so no use to send it there. I decided to keep it to have spare parts for my R9 + DMR. Even that is now collecting dust, as are my R lenses.
