Yuri Banksen Posted July 20, 2020 Share #21 Posted July 20, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) Wow Craig. Owning a Q and a Q-P is true Leica Q devotion. If Leica made different versions with different focal length lenses, I could see myself owning more than one. As it is I’m very happy with my (solitary) Leica Q-P. I got a really good deal on it because it had some visible dust on the sensor (which Leica NJ cleared up for $278). I fell in love with the camera immediately and sold all of my sony gear and picked up a QP. Now those two cameras are all that I shoot with. I contemplated the Q2 but I am not a computer guy - and the size of the sony full frame images (A7RIII) used to be a bit rough to deal with in lightroom with my current set up. I have found that 24mp is a sweet spot...and to be honest, I spend no time post processing. The images look incredible straight out of the camera and have actually changed the way that I shoot. When I shot sony I would get home and spend hours post processing....now its literally minutes. I shoot everything with this camera....street, landscape, whatever. It all looks fantastic. No regrets with my purchase or switching to leica. Good for you!! The Q and QP are excellent and FUN cameras. I suspect over time you’ll revert to some post processing. You can improve typical photos over straight out of the camera images at times. Certainly cropping, straightening horizons, eliminating keystoning in buildings as well as recovering blown highlights and overall tone adjustment. The RAW files make the camera shine even more. Look forward to your posts.

That’s my sole camera set-up now too. And like you, I pretty much shoot SOOC Jpeg - sometimes minimal PP tweaks. But focus is on getting things right in camera. 😊
