Joop van Heijgen Posted July 7, 2020 Share #1  Posted July 7, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) Are there any size problems to use the Macro-Elmarit 2,8/60 on the Leicaflex 1? I read that there is not enough space between the lens and the batterycap in front of the camera... Thanks for your reaction!

SteveYork Posted July 11, 2020 Share #2  Posted July 11, 2020 (edited) When I had the original Leicaflex, many years ago, the battery cap scratched a second generation 90mm Elmarit with built in hood.  Just wasn't enough clearance for the wider aperture ring.  It's been a long time, but it's my recollection that the original Leicaflex battery cap will scratch most of the later lenses with built in hoods, the circa late 70's + lenses, but never tried a 60 on the Leicaflex.  Looking now at my early 80's 60mm comparing it to a 90 elemarit of the same generation; yeah, it looks like the Leicaflex will probably scratch the 60 too.  Now it's also my recollection that changing the batter cap on the original Leicaflex solves the problem.  Edited July 11, 2020 by SteveYork
