First outing with my "new" 500mm Double-Elmar-R* . . .

A very backlit myna in mid-morning light . . .

*180mm Elmarit-R II + APO-Extender-R 1.4X + APO-Extender-R 2X

Take a 41-y.o. lens from the Mandler era, stack a couple of teleconverters from the Kölsch era, mount them all on a modern mirrorless body (SL)....oh, what fun! 🙂

Thank you . . . APO-Extender-R 1.4X + 2X.  The setup has just enough heft to provide its own stabilization while still being light and small enough to manage easily in the field.

One more, from this afternoon's walk . . .

Zebra Dove . . . please pardon the sensor dust, which I just saw . . .

I have only the 2X APO Extender with a APO-Telyt 180mm, but with a TL that makes it like a 540mm on full frame.

Lovely Tritentrue - which adapters?

Apologies, Charles, for totally misreading your question earlier.  For using R lenses on the SL I use R-Adapter-M (14642) and M-Adapter-L (18765).  I have one 14642 with the tripod foot attached for use with heavier setups;  and one without, for lighter lenses.
