SL section enlargement as a focusing aid

Calling up/Using the function

By pressing the BL button, you can call up enlargements of an (initially) central section of the image field.
The first press results in a 4x view, the second press in a 6x view, the third press brings back the unenlarged view.

 

The SL's joystick goes straight to the second level of enlargement.  Is there any way to set the joystick to magnify at 4X instead of 6X?  Even with a fairly steady pair of hands, the 6X view (which seems to me more like 10X) through a 560mm setup is a bit shaky.  An equally viable solution would be to be able to assign section enlargement to a button more convenient than BL, and I think this has been discussed here before.

Has anyone come up with a workaround or alternative for right-hand access to 4X?  Thanks in advance.
