c6gowin Posted August 21, 2007 Share #42 Posted August 21, 2007 Guy, your post processing is much better than mine. Thank you for illustrating the difference. I seriously need to focus more attention on learning to post process better. I have been wanting to attend an in-depth post processing workshop (e.g, 2 or 3 days), but just haven't found the time. Heck if I had time I would be attending your Yosemite photography workshop and worry about post-processing later. Mark Gowin
cme4brain Posted August 21, 2007 Share #43 Posted August 21, 2007 One thing not mentioned about the Voigtlander 90 is that it loses paint from the body very easily, especially from the milled ridges on the barrel. The same happens with the 28mm Ultron which appears to have the same finish. Doesn't bother me, but it might concern some. I own both lenses, and I have never had paint loss. Mark Gowin Yes wish you were coming but when processing try and bring attention to your subject . In this case it was some simple burning and dodging just to draw them out otherwise they were just blending into the scene and with a 90mm lens also which does compress the background and brings it closer to subject it becomes important to get that seperation. Keep shooting my friend , stuff is looking great.
c6gowin Posted August 21, 2007 Share #45 Posted August 21, 2007 ...when processing try and bring attention to your subject... Good point. The photos I posted were straight out of Lightroom with minimal manipulation. I bet you could do even better with the DNG file. Mark Gowin
