Lightroom tagging imported photos

...and not in a good way. Has anybody run into this? (See below.) It's a rare occurrence, but every so often one image in a group of imported SL DNGs gets grafitti'ed with a 5-pixel-wide line across the bottom third of the frame. It's not caused by the camera, as the picture when first imported into Photo Mechanic doesn't have the line across it, and no other image on the card has the same problem. It seems to happen only when that picture finishes importing into Lightroom (6.14 perpetual license). I've tried removing the image from the catalog and re-importing it, but no joy. I tried re-importing it with a minimal preview, which seemed to work, but the line appeared as soon as I clicked on the image in Grid view to enlarge it. Any ideas?

so the jpg preview doesn't have the line, only the Raw file does.. try and open it in rawdigger or capture one and see..if its still there then it could be a data problem [ card/disk etc]

I doubt this is attributable to post-processing. Card disturbance during writing in camera? Or when transferring data at any stage?

yes, that's why i said "try and open it in rawdigger or capture one and see..if its still there then it could be a data problem [card/disk etc]"

lightroom is accessing the Raw data..and it seems the raw file has the pink line

the OP should copy the files from the card to the computers desktop, & try loading the files directly into lightroom, and not in any other software first

eliminate the suspects one at a time
