Luca Posted June 7, 2020 Share #1 Posted June 7, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) This was an option I never thought of on SL2 until I decided to try some landscape photography. In principle you should focus on the subject , lock focus and then add ND filter as with these filters AF will keep hunting with no results. To lock focus you should press the joystick button (already set-up with this option). I still didn't try with ND filter but to me pressing the joystick button it seems only to focus on the subject but it doesn't seem to have also the focus locked. Am I missing something in the procedure ? Sorry if this topic already discussed but couldnt find it. thanks
Advertisement Posted June 7, 2020 Posted June 7, 2020 Hi Luca, Take a look here AF LOCK. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Leicaiste Posted June 7, 2020 Share #2 Posted June 7, 2020 You should put your lens in manual focusing mode and AF focus with the joystick. Once you release your finger from the joystick, the focus will be locked. 1
