nameBrandon Posted April 30, 2020 Share #1 Posted April 30, 2020 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Just curious if anyone has tested this out. It looks like the only dimension that's questionable is the new height of the camera with the grip. I think the rest of it should fit ok. Just looking for confirmation before I order one.. With the Leica lens hood on, the 72 is tight on every side.

Jayk Posted May 1, 2020 Share #4 Posted May 1, 2020 I use the 72 with a Leica Q, grip, Thumbs-up and with the lens hood on at all times. I realise the Q and Q2 aren't exactly the same dimensions but they are very close. I also use the Leica loop with the grip. I find this to be an excellent setup as the loop enables me to remove the Q from the 72 very quickly and it's ready to go. I would like to add that I find the loop to be a surprisingly secure way of holding the camera.

I have the same setup, grip and finger loop and i'm very happy with it as i never use neck straps and sometimes hold the camera for a very long time in my hand. The grip and the finger loop gives me such a good grip that it's virtually impossible to drop the camera, except i fall with her to the ground. To be honest, i never dropped a camera, but either a analog with grip or a digital with built-in grip gives a much better hold, but adding the finger loop makes it even more ergonomical and safe. Herr Barnack Posted May 5, 2020 Share #7 Posted May 5, 2020 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Quote With the Leica lens hood on, the 72 is tight on every side. Perhaps it wouldn't hurt to take a look at the Billingham Digital Hadley Bag. It is more roomy for a Q2 size camera without being too large and clunky to carry. JMHO.
