Hello, everyone.

I live in the borough of Brooklyn in New York City. My Leicas and I have been inseparable for years. I started with an M6, then moved to a Digilux 2, and now carry around a new Digilux 3.

I'd like to show and see New York pictures by Leica photographers.

These pictures were taken at the Grand Army Plaza Greenmarket, Prospect Park, and Gowanus, respectively, in Brooklyn. The three 'heads' are an original piece of found wall art, an interpretation I made from it, and the vandalized original a few days later.

Thanks,

Michael

Are you still allowed to take photographs in NY, there is a rumour of a law that prohibites

photting there because of terrorist bla bla bla... seems to me good old East Germany was

much easeier for photters when it was still there...

Hi. Oh yes, we can still take photos in NYC. Everywhere I turn, there are camera-toting tourists and locals.

The regulations you mentioned (which are being revised) deal with people using movie/video cameras and still cameras that involve tripods, lights, and groups of people on the street. It's the budding filmmakers who tie up the sidewalks who are at issue.

In theory, taking photographs in the subway and on bridges is limited or prohibited, but I have never heard of an arrest.
