andrel23 Posted April 23, 2020 Share #1 Posted April 23, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi all, Like the topic says, I sent my M3 last year for a CLA. It was barely used since then. The speeds sound all pretty accurate. I am sure they were adjusted fine. However, when it comes to the slower speeds when I test from 1/2" up to 1/30" at each setting, five out of six times they are fine but once in a while the actual speed sounds just like 1/60th. Either slower speeds will once in a while will click with the exact time of 1/60th. Any idea with this issue? Thanks for your input,
Advertisement Posted April 23, 2020 Posted April 23, 2020 Hi andrel23, Take a look here M3 Cla'd - slower speeds inconsistent few times in a row. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
tommonego@gmail.com Posted April 24, 2020 Share #2 Posted April 24, 2020 Had that issue except on high speeds, I had sent in a dead M3 for CLA and whatever. When I talked to the repair person he said the rubber on the shutter was old, it had looked OK but was probably sticking when wound. Said if I wanted to wind the camera before I took a picture and let it rest unwound, it would probably be fine. That was too much of a workflow change for me so I sent it back for a shutter replacement. After looking at the camera he said he should have done the shutter when the camera was first there, he charged me what he would have if it was done while the camera was opened.
