John Smith Posted April 13, 2020 Share #1 Â Posted April 13, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) Got a BlackRapid wrist strap for the SL2. Pretty heavy duty, but I'm afraid the metal will mark up the camera. Anyone know of a good wrist strap? I looked at Peak Design and am not fond of their linking system. I've read of some breaking and PD has chucked it up to saying, "You should buy more and replace often."Â

Jeff S Posted April 13, 2020 Share #2 Â Posted April 13, 2020 PD claims a low failure rate with the anchors, but introduced a 4th version two years ago to address issues... https://support.peakdesign.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000833866-2018-Anchor-Update Some sellers may not be including the latest version. richardhagen Posted April 14, 2020 Share #3  Posted April 14, 2020 Leicatime wrist strap: I bought this strap for my SL a few years ago. I switched it to my SL2. As soon as Italy recovers, I will be ordering another one. The only metal fastener is hidden under the leather sheath. The leather is soft and very durable. Very high quality workmanship and leather. Looks and feels great. Welcome, dear visitor! Jeff Thanks for the info. But the Amazon reviews aren't positive on the strap. PD apparently has added an aluminum casing that can scratch the cameran and there are many complaints that it doesn't work well.  @richardhagenThanks for reminding me about Leicatime. I have an M strap. Would look him up again, but I bought a couple from Angelo Pelle this morning.

It apparently has an aluminum clasp that will scratch the camera. I bought the Angelo Pelle strap because it doesn’t have any metal.

Jeff Thanks for the info. But wading through Amazon reviews, many have complained about the aluminum cover. There is also this one from COOPH, apparently in collaboration with Leica. No exposed metal on it, either. Edited April 15, 2020 by John Smith

I have an M strap. Would look him up again, but I bought a couple from Angelo Pelle this morning. I've been using the Peak Design anchors since they came out. I never experienced a failure or even a fraying of the nylon fiber "string"on the anchor. I have them on all of my cameras, straps and tripods. They allow a quick change on my cameras from a neck strap to a wrist strap. I bought extra anchors and installed the clips on the end of all of my favorite camera straps. I don't care for PD's straps, which I bought originally, but the anchor system is brilliant. My favorite straps are the Rock & Roll SL straps and Gordy wrist straps, both shown in the attached photos. Another favorite neck straps are the super grippy UPStrap Pros. I use the small one for my M10 and the larger one for my SL2. Regards, Bud James Please check out my fine art and travel photography at www.budjames.photography or on Instagram at www.instagram.com/budjamesphoto.
