Annie135 Posted August 11, 2007 Share #1 Posted August 11, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) A task which I both love and hate, but it has to be done. Yesterday in a fit of madness tinged with guilt I decided to face into the task of dusting off the camera collection. I made a remarkable discovery, or at least my wife did. The Micro Fibre cloths sold in Asda/ Walmarts etc are excellent. I use the stainless steel one slightly ( and I mean slightly) dampened, then polish off with the dry cloth intended for glass. The cameras I have done so far stick out like sore thumbs.....they gleam. Only thing is I never seem to be able to get in the nooks and crannies anyone got a tip? andybarton Posted August 11, 2007 Share #2 Posted August 11, 2007 If I ever get round to it... I use one of those things that you don't stick into babies ears I wish they still sold "Swiffer" cloths in the UK. They were excellent and didn't have a fresh lemon fragrance to beautify my home. Annie135 Posted August 11, 2007 Author Share #3 Posted August 11, 2007 I use one of those things that you don't stick into babies ears Never having experienced the joys of parenthood wouldn't know what you stick/ not stick in their ears. I seem to remember 'Swiffer' cloths. Andy the micro fibre things are odourless and dirt cheap. I did wonder about using one of those rubber pencil things........gently. Might give it a whirl with a gash body.....
andybarton Posted August 11, 2007 Share #4 Posted August 11, 2007 Cotton buds. Or Q-Tips, if you want a trade name. Thanks for the tip about Asda microfibre cloths. I have often wondered whether hovering one over a strip of negatives before scanning would lift dust off via the static charge on the cloth, but didn't want to try with a pine-fresh one.
