Well - he might have read it but I own it in 12 hard backed volumes published by Chatto & Windus in 1943. The binding is blue and the spine is lettered in gold in a red cartouche with gold hatching. I'm thinking of sending them to Solms however as the black print seems to have a funny purple cast.:D:D:D

Mine is somehow wearing off the paint on the cover. Maybe I shouldn't fondle it so much in front of the TV and just got out to hit someone on the head with it.

Memo to myself: Don't forget to put À la recherche du temps perdu in Your signature

I don't think it's much worse than the mindless drivel some people feel compelled to include in their signature, "There are 10 types of people, those who understand binary and those who don't", that sort of thing.

[i prefer to confine my own mindless drivel to above the signature line].

I also do not quite understand what some people list their equipment in their signature; especially when one can add such information in the member's profile that is available to all. But I guess it is a matter of taste. I have seen behavior in other Leica-unrelated fora as well, such as in fora on digital TV or else. In any case, adding such information to a signature risks having a longer signature than the actual message itself :-)
