gvaliquette Posted August 11, 2007 Share #24 Posted August 11, 2007 Joop: I am seriously thinking about transferring through Amsterdam or Frankfurt on my next trip to Europe in October. Thanks for the info! Guy
rosuna Posted August 11, 2007 Share #25 Posted August 11, 2007 Hi, Andy: Thanks for putting it up for all to use, for what it's worth. All: Yes, it is mostly R stuff. It obviously reflects my interests, what I am looking to buy, and what I might be interrested in in the foreseable future ($$$ permitting ). I also tracked the ongoing sales of equipment I currently own, should I ever, , have to consider departing with it. Guy Thanks!!!!
adan Posted August 12, 2007 Share #26 Posted August 12, 2007 Sean - just remember there are TWO quite different M 90 f/2 lenses - actually three, since the first big 'stovepipe' version had a small optical change somewhere along the line. The big silver or black lenses that were true double-gauss lenses (and thus actually 90mm long) were pre-1980 - the compact E55 version was made in both Midland and then Solms from 1980 until the APO was introduced. Big version usually sells for less than the compact version, based mostly on the size, weight, age and other ergonomics. $400-550 for the older, $650-950 for the newer (at least based on prices I've seen listed or paid) Both were roughly comparable in resolution (IMHO), but rather different in drawing and contrast, due to the significantly different optics.
