FrankCB Posted March 9, 2020 Share #1 Posted March 9, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) Desperately looking for a lens cap for a 21mm f.3.4 Leitz Wetzlar Super-Angulon lens, part #14102. I just purchased a lens cap on eBay that was labeled 14102 on the box, but the lens cap itself was inscribed #14102P which is 52.5 mm, and is too small. Does anyone know the difference between the two part numbers?

mmradman Posted March 10, 2020 Share #2 Posted March 10, 2020 Never handled one but I suspect older 21mm Super Angulon has rear element sticking further back so standard lens cap is shallow and can’t be used. Good luck finding suitable replacement. Instead of the lens cap one suggestion is to use back-to-back M lens rear cap, probably easier to find, which is hollow in the middle, close lens on one end and fit body cap on the free end. ianman Posted March 10, 2020 Share #3 Posted March 10, 2020 The lens cap on my Super-Angulon (f/3.4) is 14102P and it fits perfectly.
