I am considering the 50 summilux for my SL2 for portraits. It can be purchased used for a very appealing price, which combined with the size is the reason I am considering it Vs the native summilux. (That and my dream of owning a monochrom  in the future) Question: those who have it and use it on the SL and SL2, how is the manual focusing experience?
Thank you!

I assume you are talking about M 50 Summilux? Everything about that lens is very well documented, nothing to add...
I find using this lens (and number of other manual lenses) on SL/SL2 to be a real pleasure. While it could be a bit tricky from time to
time to obtain a critical focus on M camera(s) with wide open Summilux, it is -at least for me- much easier to do that on SL/SL2 using magnification
function - if needed.
Focusing manual lenses on SL2 compered to SL is further improved since focus/magnification point is now remembered between the shots, great feature.

PS. Out of curiosity - what is "a very appealing price" you could get a M 50 Summilux?

Just the other day I was testing LED ring light at my local pusher's...M 50 Summilux on SL2:

Thank you so much for the response! A wonderful photo, too. It is great to hear that focusing the lens wide open is pretty easy, since that is how I would be shooting it most of the time.

I saw it on popflash (I think) for $3200, and I got an adapter already.
