(1) If I press the menu button once, a screen appears that is not described anywhere in the operating instructions: whether I can adjust it individually.

(2) If I press the menu button twice, a symbol can be seen that I also can't find anywhere described.

The little icon to the left of the star signifies the new Status screen you get with the first click of the Menu button. Each time you click the Menu button you drill down through the Menus starting with Favorites. That line of icons and numbers reflects which page you are on. This line of icons and numbers is not touch sensitive, you have to use the directional pad (one click left from the star returns you to the new Status screen).

The two bottom rows of symbols (your pic #1) are self-explanatory. Just hit the symbols with your fingertip and you can change the settings, e.g. you can change from single auto focus to continuous auto focus with the top left symbol. Just try it.

Thankyou for all answers!

My question about the first screen is whether the two lower rows of symbols can be changed individually:that would make sense to directly access the 10 most important personal settings - in the future it will be a task for the programmers to let the system recognize what these settings are.

(2)

The second screen has a logical or semantic dilemma: while the screens * - 5 are accompanied by icons, this row is missing on the first screen; if I know that it is ok, if not it makes me unsure - that is, it is not evident and I have to learn it extra. I would leave out the first icon or make the first screen changeable.

I cannot see any logic of the order within the main menu. My guess after dealing with a lot of camera menus is that Asian thinking is different from Western. That could be an interesting basis for a discussion.
