Wondering this myself, I assume colour-cast is a non-issue but I imagine you would want a good quality filter going over your Leica glass.

I ordered a 6-stop B+W ND (MRC) filter the other day so I'm hoping it will be ok when it arrives.

I use ND filters both the B&W screw on lens type filter and filter adaptor with glass inserts. The screw on filters can cause some vignetting on some wider lenses especially if you stack more than one. The three stop ND filter (ND 0.9) on the M10M seems to offer a good range for either shooting wide open at 160 iso or normal range exposures around f 5.6 by bumping up ISO to 400/800. One doesn't need to take the ND filter off to achieve either range unless you wish to maintain ISO setting at 160.  The ND 0.6 or two stop will be okay too.
