frogfish Posted February 21, 2020 Share #1 Posted February 21, 2020 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi guys, just got the Q and shot it on a small wedding today. As much as I like the overall design of the camera... the EVF does not do, what it is intend to do. In my world the advantage of an EVF compared to an optical one is that you see what you get... But as in the Q the EVF is way too bright and there is no way to adjust it, makes it pretty useless in preview your exposure. There is a way to adjust the display but not the RVF. Any logical reason behind this? And as I adjust the exposure by feel when I use a EVF it is not possible to learn to just overexpose "a bit" as it simply does not feel right. Pity... rant over 🙂 heiko Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! PhotoCruiser Posted February 22, 2020 Share #2 Posted February 22, 2020 (edited) The Q EVF is not know as the best, the Q2 is lightyears better. However, have a look here: Lowering the LCD Brightness to medium or medium-low the brightness should be about the same. You can adjust EVF brightness in the Menu, play aroudn with it!Monitor-Helligkeitswiedergabe Für optimale Erkennbarkeit sowie zur Anpassung an unterschiedliche Lichtverhältnisse kann die Helligkeit der Monitor-Anzeige verändert werden. 1. Im Menü Displayeinstellung wählen, 2. im Untermenü Bildschirmhelligkeit, und 3. im dazugehörigen Untermenü die gewünschte Einstellung The manual can be downloaded here Chris Edited February 22, 2020 by PhotoCruiser
