As far as my machine goes the volume is very low for playback. Is it just mine or is it everyone’s. Not that it matters that much just out of curiosity

Mine too....Can hear something coming out from the speakers, but difficult to discern the audio.

I have the same problem on my SL2 and CL

During playback one of the control dials—I forget which—acts as a volume knob.  It’s still quiet, but you can turn things up a little bit.

I have noticed this problem during my first trip with the camera, went for sensor cleaning after it & asked about the volume issue. They said the speaker was diagnosed as normal. It’s a bit annoying if you want to quickly check sound after recording something.

Jared, You are correct that the front setting wheel and the thumbwheel play a role in the video playback, just not the volume.  The front setting wheels allows for a grid of you pictures.  The thumbwheel allows for you to position to a particular frame in the video.

I am also unable to hear the audio acoustic signals.
