The M10 Monochrom is a remarkably capable... sports camera (!).  The incredible high-ISO performance plus 41 MP plus amazing detail capture is a dream for shooting sports.

Yes, you have to get used to focusing fast-moving action by rangefinder.  But it's really not that hard, and my hit rate last night at the Celtics-Magic game—much to my surprise— was quite a bit higher than either shooting the M10P, or even the Sony a7riii with state-of-the-art autofocus.

Being able to crop heavily while still preserving plenty of detail at times left me in a state of disbelief.

The photos in the album linked below were taken with the M10 Monochrom, 50 mm APO at f/5.6-6.3, 1/500 s, and heavily cropped as needed.  ISO 3000-5000 typical... which is quite clean with the M10M.  Here's a 9% crop (3.7 MP/40.8 MP) that still captures enough details to see the player's individual eyelashes (click the image below three times to zoom in to 100%).  Crazy.

By comparison, my color photos of NBA games seem so garish now 😂
Also, the variety of skin tones among many professional athletes makes for a natural monochrome feast.
