I have a M6 TTL, the reading from the lightmeter is off of 4 stops over the usual reading from other digital cameras and lightmeters such as gossen and seconic l-478. It's been almost 6 years since I last shoot the film and I also changed battery, clean the contact on the back flip of ISO setting. Does anyone know how to fix the problem?

What does the white dot look like on the shutter curtain? If it has faded a lot it might account for the extra exposure you are experiencing though it is more likely that your problem is electrical in nature. What happens when you change the ISO setting? Does it read 4 stops over compared with a reading from an external meter at all ISO settings or is it just when you use your favoured ISO settings?
