A while ago I bought a used Canon Compact-Macro 2.5/50mm. It came (at least for us in the Leica world) dirt cheap at about 100 Euros. I use it mostly for images for ads and the like with the Novoflex SL/EOS adapter. This lens amazes me every time I use it. It is razor sharp with very good contrast - even the autofocus is ok. I believe Sigma will release a 70mm Art Macro in L-Mount soon (and Panasonic may have something up the sleeve) but until then, this low cost setup really works.

I am on a waiting list for a SL2. If one finally does come, I hope to use a Novofex adapter with an old AF Micro Nikon 60mm. I’ll shoot manual focus of course.

It looks like the SL2 could turn out to being a versatile camera.

While not macro, the SL24-90, on the SL2, is a versatile combo... focusing to .3m (1:3.8) with OIS and IBIS, as well as the obvious focal length flexibility for general use.  I have the lens, but right now it’s useless without the body; still waiting on delivery.

I'm using my old 60mm Leica Macro-Elmarit-R f2.8 on the SL & SL2.  Great lens, underrated.  A good used vers. is around  $500- $600-.

Here's a quick shot taken with the SL2 of a tiny miniature rose.

Is that with the Macro Adaptor or without?
