James Mitchell Posted August 6, 2007 Share #1 Posted August 6, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I sent in my Passport Warranty registration for a new 50mm 1.4 ASPH two months ago and have not received my card, nor my vouchers for lens coding. Anyone know what the current turnaround time for the warraty cards is at this time? And, do the vouchers come with the warranty card or later? I did buy an M8 late last year as well, but that came with the offer to purchase a new Leica lens for 30% off. Unfortunately, those discounted lenses came with the Passport Warranty but no coding vouchers (except for a lucky few whose Leica USA warranties were not properly filled out prior to shipment). She is, or at least was the last time I called, the contact for both warranty info and Pass Port cards. Nice Lady. Normal turnaround used to be 2-3 weeks. I called Leica USA, and they took the information again over the phone, printed out my warranty card as we spoke, and included the vouchers. In a few decades of purchases (a little North of a dozen new products), I've always found them to be courteous. Not many companies around where the Boss (Roger Horn), will respond to e-mails. Perhaps a combination of nice people, coupled with the advantage of being small. I don't doubt that they are busy.
