Advertisement Posted August 6, 2007 Posted August 6, 2007 Hi Guest guy_mancuso, Take a look here Price List on New Leica Summarit Lenses/US. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
marknorton Posted August 6, 2007 Share #2 Posted August 6, 2007 Both prices are about 3% above what I was expecting (see: http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/customer-forum/30564-4-new-summarits-11.html#post321330) based on adjusting for tax and the exchange rate. Perhaps Leica are expecting further depreciation of the dollar against the euro or else it's their liking for prices which end in -95. $1495 is, after all, so much better sounding than $1500. Still, good value IMHO.

cmogi10 Posted August 6, 2007 Share #5 Posted August 6, 2007 Is it a typo that the PDF say's "LEICA SUMMMARIT-M 35mm f2.0"?
Albert4321 Posted August 6, 2007 Share #6 Posted August 6, 2007 Are these lenses are new design and optimized for digital (M8)? Not sure if they are ASPH or APO, but the price is attractive and I don't have to deal with the Zeiss conversion option.
andybarton Posted August 6, 2007 Share #7 Posted August 6, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) They are for all M users and are not ASPH. No UK pricing yet, that I can find.
marknorton Posted August 6, 2007 Share #8 Posted August 6, 2007 A note on the Amateur Photographer web-site says Leica UK don't have pricing as yet. That's no surprise. The only thing Leica UK seem to do on time is leave for the day... I'm expecting £695 for the 50mm and £895 for the others.
sean_reid Posted August 6, 2007 Share #9 Posted August 6, 2007 Is it a typo that the PDF say's "LEICA SUMMMARIT-M 35mm f2.0"? Yes it is. Cheers, Sean
sdai Posted August 7, 2007 Share #10 Posted August 7, 2007 Do you guys also have the price of the optional hood? ... I may be interested in the 75/2.5, then sell the 75 cron and buy back the 75 lux. Thanks.
