Landiah Posted December 18, 2019 Share #1 Posted December 18, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) Does anyone have experience with this combination? If so, what are your thoughts. I’ve got an itch and I can’t seem to scratch it.
Advertisement Posted December 18, 2019 Posted December 18, 2019 Hi Landiah, Take a look here Noctilux 0.95 on film?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Fedro Posted December 18, 2019 Share #2 Posted December 18, 2019 it's great, I have used it only with B&W film. Harder to balance on the MP and focus is unforgiving as you cannot take hundreds of pics and chimp Welcome, dear visitor! dem331 Posted December 18, 2019 Share #5 Posted December 18, 2019 I stopped using it a long time ago on film, shallow depth of field was almost impossible for me to focus in dim light. It sat around for over 10 years until I started using it a little with M and EVF (although I don’t particularly like this combination) and now I find it difficult to take off the SL2. I’ve got an itch and I can’t seem to scratch it. I find it a nice combination with film. Both of the attached photos were taken at 0.95 on Portra 400. The first once was a bit staged but the second one was pretty much off the cuff. Focusing with it becomes second nature once you get a handle on it. And, to be honest, I prefer the look on film. If you’ve got the itch, then I’d say to go for it. I’m kind of feeling the same way about the 75 Noct, which has a very similar look to the 0.95 on film... from the few samples I’ve seen. But I’ll be putting the pennies away for that one for some time yet. Welcome, dear visitor! spydrxx Posted December 18, 2019 Share #7 Posted December 18, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) Scratch the itch and go for it...you'll never know otherwise if it works for you or not. It didn't work for me, but it might for you.
