kalifornier Posted December 6, 2019 Share #1 Â Posted December 6, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello All, I've been AWOL for a while but rejoining again after acquiring a Leica T at a steal. I'm currently looking at the Voigtlander 15/4.5 M mount as a wide angle prime option. Any one has any opinions on this lens? The 10 mm 5.6 seems to divide opinions. Thanks in advance! rpittal Posted December 6, 2019 Share #2 Â Posted December 6, 2019 the CV15, version 3 is a great lens, much better than the CV10 and 12s that I returned due to poor corner IQ. 1
rpittal Posted December 6, 2019 Share #3 Â Posted December 6, 2019 however, on a T, you may be OK with the 10 since it is not full frame so you would not see the degraded edges/corners?

ramarren Posted December 8, 2019 Share #5  Posted December 8, 2019 I had the V15/4.5 version 1 lens. It was handy and fun, but smeared quite a lot at the corners/edges of the frame on 35mm film that I was using at that time. To the point of being unusable for most things ... Ended up not using it much. Never had the opportunity to use it on digital, or to use the later v2 and v3 versions although I hear the v3 is much improved. Nowadays, I'm using the V10/5.6 on the Leica CL for similar field of view to the V15 on FF. It's superbly sharp and crisp right to the corners of the frame; I can't fault it at all. I tested it casually on FF as well and didn't find the corners and edges to be that bad at all, nowhere near as bad as the V15v1 on 35mm film. The LR correction for the V10 is almost imperceptible with the CL frame; it's much more noticeable with the M-D frame and affects a much greater portion of the frame. I expect similar behavior with the V15v3. G
