It is using strong and precise screw drives, which work well for the big heavy elements and manual focus, but which are indeed loud. Thanks Stuart! Maybe the firmware update should fix the AF speed then.. the guy I bought it from was using S 006.. I guess with S 007 the firmware would be further updated?
