Just with regard to the issue " Battery insufficiently charged for 4k..." :  If you have this grip on the SL2 and the Body battery is down to say 30% (grip at 100%) - will 4K recording be allowed?The more I read about these things - I think Leica should have just allowed Battery charging while the Camera is switched on.

The camera will usually drain the battery located in the handgrip as the Top LCD screen will show. However the power usage system is designed that the battery will start being drawn when the power level of the battery within the grip falls to certain level (not when completely drained).

The SL2 Manual, page 45 includes the note: "The camera must have a battery with at least minimal charge inserted to utilise a rechargeable battery in the handgrip."  

I did not see any option to select which battery is in use at any one time.

The object is referred to as the Multifunction Hand Grip SL in the contents listing, but confusingly as "hand grip" in the index.

I have 2 questions about the Hang-up on SL2

there is no real information out there so I was hoping you can help.

1. When I am doing a long time-lapse I want to change the battery in the grip so that it can keep going few more hours. When I take out the battery the camera resets even if there is still an internal battery. Is that Normal?

2. Is the a way to turn the Shutter button of from the grip? keeps shooting in my bag. I usually don't turn it off
