I just have to share this story. A client of mine found it difficult to focus his M 240, I requested an eye prescription in order to manufacture either a contrast lens or eyepiece. He went to an optometrist, got the prescription (which was a little bit out of the ordinary) and we manufactured an eyepiece. Everything went well and he could focus again. Two months later the problem appeared again, this time it was worse. I had him send to an ophthalmologist who immediately scheduled an operation, failing that he would lose his eyesight altogether..everything went well and he can focus his beloved camera again..even upgraded to a monochrome. The moral of the story is that if it wasn't for the Leica M camera , he would not have known how fast  his eyesight was deteriorating and would not have acted in time. Seems Leica M CAMERAS ARE GOOD FOR THE EYES.  Keep shooting

Kind regards

I await his reply regarding the official diagnosis. This whole episode made me think again, we spend a lot of hard earned money on the best cameras, best lenses , cleaning them and taking care of them,...The questions remains: do we take care of our primary lens the same way? By primary lens I mean our eyes ! We definitely should. Make time, book an appointment with the  ophthalmologist or optometrist ...it's worth it.Photography and eyes go hand in hand.

Kind regards

Walter
