Hi, I miss the Leica experience, so I'm about to click Purchase on a Q-P.. Because of my crappy eyesight, I will want to Lock In the Single Focus Point. I have read that this is Not Possible and that at times the Single Focus point will drift away from the Central position.. Is this true? If So, is there any way I can Lock the Single Focus Point in the Center Position? How about Multi Point Focus, does that stay Central & Permanent?  - I appreciate these are basic questions, but very important bearing in mind my poor eyesight.. Tx in advance... L

I’m not aware of any way to lock the field or spot focus to the middle. If you have TOUCH AF On, a double tap on the screen will bring spot or field back to center screen. I often use multi-field for general photography. I find it works well. Good luck.

If you double-tap the screen to set the focus point to the middle, and then go into the menu and turn off AF Touch, the spot will stay in the middle if you then set AF Mode to Spot or Field. Multi-point will of course move it wherever the camera wants it.

I always use some version of Spot Focus because I would rather pick my place, lock it in and then change the framing. Just a habit from long ago with film cameras.

Terry I agree with you except if the 4-way controller is inadvertently pushed which will move the focus point.

Yep, just noticed that. Almost a perfect solution. One place where my Fujis rule - locking the focus joystick.
