levins Posted October 25, 2019 Share #1 Posted October 25, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, I have a Leica Q2 and when I turn off a camera and shake it gently, I can hear some sounds from the lenses part. It feel like there's some moving part within the camera. But strangely if I turn on camera, and do the same shaking, I don't hear that sound. So I suspect it relates to lenses position somehow. Does anyone experience the same thing? Do you think this could be some hardware defect? Thanks.

Siriusone59 Posted October 25, 2019 Share #3 Posted October 25, 2019 It's normal and has been talked about many times on this forum. It has to do with the optical image stabilization of the Q and Q2. If you search for OIS noise or something similar you'll find better explanations of it. Nothing to worry about. 1
