For those of you S Typ 007 shooters who shoot tethered. Which do you prefer using and why? LR with plug-in V1.2.0.759 or Capture 1 with the latest version of Image Shuttle. I’ve tried both and they both seem to work fine. LR seems the easiest to use but C1/Image Shuttle seems to be very popular.

I plan on shooting products in the studio with artificial lighting. No rapid fire shots with images viewed on a Eizo 27” through a Mac Pro. Any constructive input would be most appreciated.

thanks in advance.

It's been a while since I last shot with the S007 tethered but I preferred the LR/Plugin route, despite the plugin being partially broken (did not allow presets to be applied automatically while shooting, even though it was clear that it was meant to do so). But at least I could see the latest image showing up on the screen automatically. Whereas with the C1/Image Shuttle route, I had to keep scrolling down the grid view to see the latest image. Which was rather inconvenient because it kept interrupting the flow of shooting (we use a NEC 31 inch monitor in the studio and everybody on the team keeps watching as we shoot). And from what I can remember, using the C1/Image Shuttle route, it was not possible to apply presets automatically either. For me, this is an issue - I like to use presets as a starting point, especially  when shooting in B&W. Not only for the team to see the effect on the screen but also for me to judge exposure better, because a lot of the presets apply changes to curves and other settings and it is useful to see the histogram and clipping warnings as we shoot, with the correct preset applied automatically to each shot coming up on the screen. I eventually pretty much gave up on shooting with the S007 in the studio and bought a second hand Phase One XF with an IQ280 back.
